Hi! I just wanted to let you both know that I went in for my follow up doctor appointment today for my kidney stone, and the stone had totally disappeared! The doctor was kind of amazed. You both told me that it would probably take more time, but I totally think the acupuncture and herbs knocked it out! I’m going to come in regularly (though not as often) and keep up with the herbs to try to prevent future ones, but I just wanted to share. Thank you so much! – A.K.
I was a total skeptic about acupuncture before I went to my first session. After my first session that all changed. I felt calm, happy, relaxed and an aura of good energy which I had never felt before. I would recommend acupuncture to anyone. – K.G., Colorado
Susan took the time to listen and really understand what was going on with my body. She provided a gentle yet powerful treatment that left me feeling balanced and cared for. I had the good fortune of visiting Susan regularly for nearly a year in Portland, and every treatment was a blessing. I would leave feeling tuned-up emotionally, physically, and spiritually. A visit with Susan is a gift to yourself. You won’t regret it! – Beau B., Portland, OR
When I was given my breast cancer diagnosis, I was surprised, frightened and I quickly found myself feeling very sorry for myself. My sister had a friend who received treatment from Susan, and they both recommended her services. Though reluctant at first, I am so happy I decided to try acupuncture. Each time I would leave the clinic I would feel calmer, more relaxed and better prepared to face my next cancer challenge. Your bed side manner was confident and caring, and always optimistic.
Laughing Buddha acupuncture always goes above and beyond to provide excellent customer service. I can count on Susan to meet my needs by mailing supplements even if I am out of town. Acupuncture has changed my life. And I am extremely afraid of needles, but not in Susan’s chair! – A.R.
I was relieved to discover that the needles really did ease my nausea after chemotherapy, and my hot flashes were always much worse if I’d miss a week of acupuncture. I still can’t say that I understand exactly how acupuncture works, but I’m convinced that it does. Somehow I feel as though it made me calmer and braver to face my diagnosis and treatment. – Margaret K., Portland, OR
I came to see Susan with excruciating sciatica pain. I had never had acupuncture previously, but after a night where I literally cried myself to sleep, I decided to give it try on the recommendation of a friend. I immediately felt comfortable with Susan. She listened to me, asked me a lot of questions, and thoroughly explained what I should expect from the treatment. She asked for feedback while she inserted the needles. Despite feeling some strong sensations, she made sure I was never in pain or discomfort. I left my first acupuncture treatment in much less pain than when I arrived. I continued to see Susan every week until she moved out of the area. Though I ultimately needed a complete hip replacement surgery, the acupuncture treatments alleviated the sharp, shooting sciatica pains which used to travel down my entire left leg. – L. T., Portland, OR
I started seeing Susan at Laughing Buddha in 2008. During my sessions I felt movement in my abdomen and soon after I began having normal bowel movements. In addition I started sleeping soundly and had mental clarity. Every time I meet with Susan I really feel like she is connecting with what my body is wanting, and the corrections seem to really stick. I have seen many acupuncturists over the last 18 years and Susan really knows how to release the blocks in my body. I am suggesting everyone I know to have sessions with Susan and feel the difference. I am truly grateful to have found Susan and her amazing skills in acupuncture. – Allison F., Cascade. CO
